Extended Warranty VS Service Contract
The term "extended warranty" is often used incorrectly. The truth is that you can't purchase a warranty from anyone, for anything. Warranties are provided at no additional charge when you make the purchase of a product. A warranty is a written promise by the manufacturer or seller of a product that they will stand behind the product for a specific period of time. The cost of a warranty is built into the product that you purchase.
A service contract is a promise to repair a product beyond the scope of a manufacturer's warranty. A service contract may enhance the coverage of a manufacturer's warranty by providing benefits not included with the manufacturer's warranty, provide component coverage that is not included in a manufacturer's powertrain warranty or provide component coverage beyond the time/mileage limitations of the manufacturer's warranty. The rule of thumb is that if it's "free" it's a warranty, but if you pay for it, it's a service contract.
Available plans
The plans available to you are based on the age of your vehicle and it's current mileage. We offer coverage for vehicles that are up to 15 years old and have up to 150,000 miles, but as your vehicle ages, the plans available to you change. We offer three groups of plans, Basic, Preferred and Supreme. You may also qualify for differing levels of coverage within these groups. Our quoting system makes choosing a plan easy with side by side comparisons of coverage levels and pricing. You can even finance a plan with as little as 10% down and pay no interest.

What's Not Covered - The Exclusions
Most MVP plans cover an easy to understand list of items. These are stated component plans. Our exclusionary plan is just the opposite. An exclusionary plan has no list of covered items, just a list of what's not covered. This is the best type of plan offered anywhere. The following is a list of parts that are not covered:
damage due to rust, corrosion or contamination; parts normally designed to be serviced or replaced with usage during the life of the vehicle, such as, but not limited to: filters, lubricants, coolant, fluids (except when required in conjunction with a covered repair), spark plugs, spark plug wires, glow plugs, light bulbs, fuses, brake rotors, brake drums, brake pads, brake linings, manual/hydraulic/electronic clutch assemblies, shock absorbers, battery, battery cables, throttle body assembly, exhaust system, belts and hoses;
all fasteners including but not limited to bolts, studs, nuts, pins, clips and retainers, except when required in conjunction with a covered repair;
glass, lenses, sealed beams, tires, trim, moldings, bright metal, upholstery and paint.
